Who doesn’t love a bit of beauty that gives back……

Perfume Power is very excited to announce our partnership with Trilogy, internationally renowned natural skincare company and So They Can a non-for Profit Organisation that is based in Australia.

For some time now we have been searching for a high quality perfume product. Which can give us an opportunity to give back to communities in Africa that are in need. Our goals were credibility, quality, expertise, experience and sustainability. We believe we have found the perfect match! In 2014 Trilogy, mastered their first foray into the world of perfume by producing a perfume called Jua. Which means ‘sun’ or ‘sunshine’ in Swahili. Jua’s success led to it being the winner of the 2014 Beauty Product Green Lifestyle Awards. Watch this video created with ‘So They Can’ to learn more about the journey to creating the beautiful fragrance of Jua. Following the successful launch of Jua, Trilogy is delighted to introduce Raha as their 2015 creation. Raha means ‘joy’ in Swahili. Working with renowned New Zealand-based French perfumer Yves Dombrowsky. Trilogy has managed rare achievements in Jua and Raha – beautiful, bespoke 100% natural fragrances! .  Raha and Jua have a universal appeal in a definitively modern fragrance structure.

Jua:

Jua was inspired by the lush natural environment in Africa. It is a beautiful, fresh fragrance, imbued with a sense of joy. And a depth that evokes a feeling of a meadow warmed by sunshine. With a range of notes covering floral, fruity and woody. Top notes: bergamot, rose bouquet, freesia Middle notes: apricot, frankincense, mint Base notes: cedar wood bark, vetiver, vanilla

Raha:

Raha was inspired by the warm African rain which brings joy, growth and survival. It cools the thirsty land, sharpens the crisp aromas of the bush, and also brings life to plants, animals and people. The refreshing fragrance of Raha evokes a feeling of revitalising rain in the still heat of the day. The crisp citrus top notes are balanced with floral blue iris, warm vanilla and also subtle spice undertones. Top notes: vibrant fresh green galbanum, citrus, bergamot, black pepper Middle notes: blue iris, marine accord, rose, frankincense Base notes: warm vanilla, subtle spice Jua and Raha are perfect treats when you need a lift or a feel-good gift for someone you love. Jua and Raha were developed by Trilogy to benefit So They Can. The Australian not-for-profit organization which works to educate and empower communities in Africa. Perfume Power is very excited and proud to be working in collaboration with CEO and Founder Cassandra Treadwell. This natural perfume oil has hand-harvested, cold-pressed Tanzanian sunflower oil as its base, produced from one of So They Can’s social business projects. So They Can invests in communities in severe need in Kenya and Tanzania, focusing on education and building the local economy through enterprise, not aid. So They Can projects build self-sufficiency in these communities, with the aim of ensuring sustainable poverty alleviation. When you buy Jua and Raha from Perfume Power at a selling price of  R 360 each, you create a connection to these amazingly determined women and their families.
